This tower is @ Avon Dam, a water catchment for the city of Sydney. It's also used for monitoring potential floods and earthquake activity.
There is a rapid response fire team based at Nepean during the fire season and this team can be transported by helicopter anywhere into
the catchment within 30min. of smoke being spotted.
